Twenty years after his debut EP, Life in Cartoon Motion, Lebanese-English pop star MIKA is set to embark on the biggest headline tour of his career. Over the summer, he shared plans for the Spinning Out Tour, announced alongside his seventh studio album, which is the impetus for his 2026 concert series. Although the initial list of 15 dates covered only Europe, he added 11 more shows in November, extending into North America.

The European leg of MIKA’s tour will play arenas. Across the pond, however, MIKA will bring his stage act to smaller and unique venues such as Chicago’s Riviera Theatre and the rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City.

Though the 42-year-old singer has yet to announce a release date for his next album, he’s been performing a song called “Spinning Out” at concerts this past year. Given the tour name, it seemed a frontrunner for the album title as well. Or maybe “Modern Times,” which he just dropped a video for this fall. But MIKA revealed the name “Hyperlove” in early December, with a release date of January 23, 2026. (Available for pre-order.)

MIKA’s latest sound

MIKA has described his next studio project as an “explosion of kaleidoscopic energy,” adding that the compositions are “as eccentric and psychedelic as they are melodic.”

For his seventh studio album, MIKA revealed that he returned to the fundamentals of songwriting by spending a lot of time alone at the piano. Brought to life between Montreal, Tuscany, and Bangkok, he classifies his latest work as a “gloriously unselfconscious, synth-laden dance album.”

The international tour begins in France on February 6, then travels throughout Europe and the U.K. He heads to the U.S. in the spring, with his first gig on April 29 in Boston, after which MIKA will play major American cities with one-off stops in Canada and Mexico.
